What is it: The Paradigm Mineral Wash Distressed Hoodie is a 400 GSM heavyweight cotton pullover with a mineral wash, ripped detailing and raw edge accents, carrying a white line-art totem across the back. Drop shoulder, boxy oversized body, kangaroo pocket. Misty Purple or Black, sizes S to 2XL.
What is the Paradigm design about?
A totem stacked vertically in fine white line work. At the top a spired crown, beneath it a long angular face with heavy-lidded eyes and a third eye set at the brow, feelers curling out to either side. Below that a second face, calm and human, its own third eye open, wrapped in a nest of coiling tendrils. At the base, a skull. The whole column sits inside faint concentric rings with small glyph marks floating around it like a dial.
Read from the bottom up it is a shift in perspective: bone, then flesh, then something that no longer needs either. That is the paradigm. Original artwork, exclusive to Phantasmagorical.
The front stays quiet with a single small Phantasmagorical script mark on the chest.

Most hoodies sold as heavyweight sit between 280 and 340 GSM, usually in a cotton and polyester fleece blend. This is 400 GSM, 11.8 oz per square yard, in 100% cotton. In the hand it feels closer to outerwear than to a sweatshirt. It holds the shoulder line rather than collapsing off it, and it carries enough body that the boxy cut reads as deliberate. A real cold weather piece.
The mineral wash and the distressing
The wash goes on after the garment is built, which is why the tone shifts across panels and pools darker in the seams. No two come out identical. The ripped detail and raw edge accents are placed at production, so they stay where they are put instead of running. It arrives looking like it has already survived a few winters, and it keeps softening from there.

The finished garment is washed with minerals that lift color unevenly, leaving a soft mottled fade with darker tone in the seams and creases. It is done piece by piece, so every hoodie comes out slightly different.
Is 400 GSM heavy for a hoodie?
Yes, well above the norm. Mass market hoodies run 280 to 340 GSM and most are fleece blends. At 400 GSM in pure cotton this is one of the densest pieces we make, closer to a light jacket in weight.
How distressed is it?
