What is it: The Existential Hand-Frayed Vintage Wash Heavyweight Tee is a 260 GSM drop-shoulder t-shirt with hand-distressed raw edges, an artisan vintage wash, printed artwork front and back, and the Phantasmagorical wordmark embroidered on both sleeves. Vintage Black Gray. S-2XL.
Why is this tee different from everything else we sell?
This is the only hand-frayed tee in the Phantasmagorical catalog. Every other frayed piece we make is a hoodie or a heavier outer layer. This is the first time the treatment has been put on a short-sleeve blank, and it is a one-of-one in the lineup for a reason: it is slower and more expensive to produce than a standard tee, and it is the only piece that carries all four of our signature details at once - hand-frayed edges, vintage wash, front and back artwork, and sleeve embroidery.
What does hand-frayed actually mean?
Hand-frayed means the edges are distressed by a person, not a machine and not a laser. Someone works each garment individually, so the fraying is uneven and organic the way real wear is uneven and organic. Look closely at the sleeve openings and the shoulder seams: the raw edge breaks differently on every single shirt. Combined with the vintage wash, which pulls color unevenly across the body, no two pieces come out identical. That is the point.
What is the Existential design about?
Existential is our most enduring design, and this is the fullest expression of it we have released.
Front: a minimalist celestial totem in clean white - a crescent moon cradling a full circle, dropped down a fine dotted line through four-pointed stars, a small open circle, and a five-pointed star at the base. It reads like a cosmic alignment diagram. Quiet from across the room, precise up close.
Back: a full sacred-geometry composition in fine white linework. A detailed dragonfly perched on a dotted triangle, a Flower of Life mandala beneath it, and an all-seeing eye ringed by orbital lines, crescents, and celestial dot patterns. Transformation, interconnection, and perception - stacked vertically down the spine.
Sleeves: the Phantasmagorical wordmark embroidered in raised thread on both sleeves, running vertically. Small, tactile, and the detail people notice second.
The artwork is original and exclusive to Phantasmagorical. It is not a stock graphic on a blank.

A typical graphic tee is 150-180 GSM. This is 260 GSM - roughly 50 percent heavier. You feel it the moment you pick it up, and you see it in how the shoulders sit and how the body hangs instead of clinging.
