This is not 100% cotton, on purpose. The cotton is the hand. The poly is why a waffle this weight does not die in the wash.
What it is. A mineral wash waffle sweatpant in 340 GSM (10.0 oz) cotton blend. Loose, straight leg, drawstring waist, slash pockets. The Existential drawing, printed on a waffle blank most streetwear never bothers to use. This is not the 420 GSM snow jogger. It is a different garment on purpose: waffle texture you can see from across the room, a lived-in mineral wash, and a drape that reads like trousers instead of gym pants.
Most "premium" sweatpants are 180 to 220 GSM jersey with a print slapped on top. You feel that the first week. Then the knees bag, the print cracks, and they look like what they cost. These are 340 GSM waffle knit, 70% cotton and 30% polyester, mineral washed so the color already has history on day one. The waffle holds shape. The cotton is what you live in. The poly is why they do not collapse after a wash. That mix is the whole argument for the price.
Why waffle, and why this wash
Waffle knit is a grid. Light hits the ridges and the valleys differently, so the garment has depth even before the art goes on. Fast fashion flattens that into a cheap thermal. A 340 GSM waffle does the opposite. It has hand. It has shadow. It looks expensive because the cloth actually is.
Then the mineral wash. Each pair comes out a little different. Not costume distressing. A real fade, the kind that used to take a year of wearing. Loose straight leg, not a taper, not an elastic cuff. They are long and open at the hem on purpose. If you buy your usual letter they will look like regular sweats. Size up 2 and they stack.
