What it is: The Nomenclature Mesh Drawstring Shorts are lightweight 145 GSM polyester mesh shorts cut above the knee, with an elasticated drawstring waist and two side pockets. Available in Black, Sky Blue, Purple, Brown and Army Green, S through 3XL.
The Artwork
The left leg carries the word PHANTASMAGORICAL in white, drawn in a jagged gothic display face and set on an upward arc across the thigh. Opposite it on the right leg, at the same height, sits the Phantasmagorical logo — the hollow flame mark in a teal-to-orange gradient with the pH letters set inside it. The back is blank. The name and the mark are the whole design, which is where the piece gets its own name.
145 GSM Mesh
At 145 GSM this is a genuinely light fabric — well under half the weight of our heavyweight cotton shorts. It is 100% polyester athletic mesh, the open perforated knit used on basketball shorts, so air moves straight through it and it dries fast after a swim or a hot afternoon. The waistband is elasticated with a flat white drawstring, both leg hems are finished with a solid flat-knit binding, and there are two functional side pockets. This is a hot-weather short: festivals, high summer, and anywhere you would otherwise be sweating through cotton.
How it fits
Relaxed through the seat and thigh with a wide leg opening, landing well above the knee — roughly a 5.5 inch inseam at S, up to 7.5 inches at 3XL. True to size for that intended cut. The waistband is elastic and forgiving, so choose your size on the hip measurement rather than the waist, and size up one if you want more length and a looser drape.
