How Two Outsiders Built Something Together
The Embrace The Chaos collection did not start with a business plan. It started with a conversation.
Patakota and Phantasmagorical share the same DNA. Both brands are independent. Both are founder-led. Both refuse to print on cheap blanks and call it a day.
When we connected, the question was simple: what happens when two people who care too much about quality decide to build something together?
The answer is 8 pieces. Tees, hoodies, tanks, and a raw-hem boxy cut that we are particularly proud of.
The Design: Serpents, Eyes, and Controlled Chaos
The Embrace The Chaos graphic is dense on purpose. The back features a tangled mass of serpents intertwining in white line art. Their bodies weave over and around one another. Scattered throughout the knot of snakes are open eyes of varying sizes, peering out from between the coils.
The front is clean. The back tells the story.
This design is about the tension between control and surrender. Life is tangled. Plans overlap. Paths cross. The eyes represent awareness in the middle of all that chaos. You do not need to untangle everything. You just need to keep your eyes open.
The Fabrics: Three Different Weights for Three Different Vibes
Not every piece in the collab uses the same blank. That was intentional.
The Snow Wash Tee (250 GSM, $60)
This is the entry point. 250 GSM ringspun cotton with a snow wash finish. The same heavyweight, plush feel as the rest of the Fluffy Vintage line. Drop shoulder, relaxed fit. Available in Black, Purple Haze, and Pirate Gray.
The Vintage Wash Drop Shoulder (230 GSM, $65)
Slightly lighter at 230 GSM. The vintage wash on this one creates a softer, more broken-in feel right out of the box. Available in Light Gray, Bean Green, Pink, and Sky Blue. The spring colorways.
The Oversized Vintage Washed Tee (260 GSM, $75)
The premium tier. At 260 GSM this sits between the standard line and the ultra-heavyweight pieces. The heavier cotton creates a richer texture with more depth of color from the vintage wash. Available in Black, Purple, Navy Blue, Royal Blue, and Gray.
The Snow Washed Hoodie ($110) and Sunfade Hoodie ($120)
For the people who want the full Embrace The Chaos experience. The snow washed hoodie is loose cotton with that same artisanal wash treatment. The Sunfade hoodie is a heavyweight piece with a gradual color fade that looks like it spent a summer in the desert sun.
The Raw-Hem Boxy Tee ($80) and Hooded Tank ($80)
The raw-hem boxy cut is one of our favorites from this collab. Hand-frayed edges with a boxy silhouette that drapes without clinging. The hooded tank is the warm weather version of the same energy.
Why Collaborations Matter
Big brands do collaborations for hype. We did this one because we genuinely respect each other is work.
Patakota brings a streetwear-forward construction sensibility. Phantasmagorical brings the psychedelic design language. Together the pieces feel like neither brand could have made them alone.
Every collab piece is limited edition. When they are gone, they are gone. We are not doing a reprint.
